In 2019, I came across the concept of index funds, and it intrigued me. But most of the conclusions around their performance were from the US, and I wanted to know whether those conclusions hold true in India as well.
However, I could not find any source that examined index funds in the Indian context. So, I decided to study it myself.
This website is the result of that inquiry and an attempt to share what I have learned.

I have successfully cleared multiple certifications from the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), including Research Analyst, Retirement Advisor, Mutual Fund Distributor, and Portfolio Management Services (PMS) Distributor. These examinations are mandated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) as qualifying requirements for individuals who wish to register and practice in these respective roles within the Indian securities market. I have also completed the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification, awarded by the Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB), which is globally recognized as a comprehensive qualification in the field of personal financial planning. It includes study of areas such as investment planning, retirement planning, tax planning, and risk management (insurance). However, it is important to note that, as of 30 April 2026, I am not registered with SEBI as an investment advisor or research analyst, nor with the Financial Planning Standards Board as a CFP professional. I was previously registered with the FPSB as a CFP professional. However, the certification expired on 31 December 2025. And as of now, I do not intend to register under these frameworks due to their high cost structure and because they do not align with my goal, which is to provide education-focused content rather than advisory or distribution services. I am currently registered as a mutual fund distributor (ARN: ______) with the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), the industry body responsible for overseeing and regulating the registration and conduct of mutual fund distributors in India. However, I am not empaneled with any mutual fund houses. As a result, I do not distribute mutual funds, execute transactions, or earn commissions from any mutual fund products.
